Possess special skills, knowledge or expertise that qualifies them to provide instruction in subjects for grades K-12. Each has provided documentation as certification, professional development, curriculum training, or similar. Pre-K experience and/or certification does not meet this requirement.

Who We Are
The Excellence Academy is an independent learning Academy that features a premier nationally accredited K-12 curriculum, college preparatory quality academic courses, honors and dual enrollment programs, career and technical certification programs, and much more. A State of Florida Choice School, we are a 501(c)(3) organization, committed to offering a comprehensive, blended approach to learning – whether via brick and mortar learning experience, as well as e-learning in an online environment. and service activities.
What We Offer
We provide an innovative approach to student learning in grades K-12, offering world-class learning opportunities in all relevant academic core courses – including Science, Mathematics, Aviation, and Technology. Achievement of academic requirements is supplemented by vibrant student activities, strings, the arts, athletics, and much more.
Each teacher at The Excellence Academy meets one of the following requirements in accordance with Florida Statutes Section 1002.421(1)(h):

Lower School
The Lower School program partners with families to provide a nurturing environment consistent with their value system. All coursework is accredited and delivered by certified educators who prepare students to excel throughout their elementary years.
Educators set expectations for learning, assess progress regularly, and use varied teaching strategies, guided inquiry, and targeted instruction applicable to success of respective learning style and development stage.
Integrated in the lower school experience is the theme of college readiness. Career exploration is intentional as students complete all relevant inventories applicable to this learning stage. Fundamentally, our goal is to ensure each child works with educators who understand the importance of delivering a curriculum that maximizes development of 21st century minds, talent, and skills in a character-based environment.
Middle School
What a transition time, full of inquiry, exploration, discovery, and anticipation of promise for the future! Serving as the transition between lower and upper school, middle school has as its emphasis to provide a secure bridge, while preparing students for rigorous college preparatory class offerings. It is during middle school that students explore options or begin to determine their strengths and weaknesses.
The Excellence Academy instruction highlights elements relevant to transition, self-identity, decision-making, character, writing skills, test-taking, and the like. Special emphasis is placed on identifying a preferred subject area, as it relates to possible career choice and preparation for high school. Consistent with that preparation, advanced eighth grade students have the opportunity to take several courses for high school credit.
High School
The Excellence Academy offers a wide array of academic opportunities for our high school students. Tapping international pedagogy, The Academy brings a cadre’ of nationally accredited online curriculum and digital assets. Together, our teachers and industry leaders, create and develop the finest courses available to meet the academic needs of students on a spectrum from gifted and talented to those needing extra support. This enables students to progress, having personalized instruction through one-to-one teacher interaction.
Our nationally accredited courses follow the standards and guidelines set forth by a universal educational mission of enlightenment, centered in its core values of character and integrity. While The Excellence Academy faculty and staff serve as the backdrop against which learning is promoted, each student is held accountable for their own progress and grades. To maximize learning, each high school student shall plan to spend 5-6 hours per week working on each class they are enrolled and work independently and be responsible for logging in daily.
