Welcome
Once students are enrolled in The Excellence Academy, The Academy teachers will welcome learners and families for an initial introduction, to share getting started best practices, and explain expectations with a welcome letter or a welcome phone call.
Curriculum and content (K-5th Grades) will be guided and graded by certified teachers, featuring comprehensive digital curricula in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. You will receive an overview of the program including information on roles and key components of this 24-hour access learning program.
Courseware (6th -12th Grades) is a standards-aligned digital curricula and virtual learning platform, designed to be flexible, dynamic, and personalized to meet the unique needs of each learner. It is built on a foundation of research-based design principles and implementation, including mastery learning, active and engaged learning, deliberate practice, explicit instruction, scaffolding, and metacognitive strategies.
The Excellence Academy learning platform and this portal is powered by Edmentum. Experienced virtual teachers support students through regular contact, comprehensive assignment feedback, and synchronous support via office hours and unit reviews.
