Earned Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any subject, as evidenced by copy of a diploma or completed transcript

Have three (3) or more years of teaching experience in grades K-12, supported by written proof of contacting their previous employer

Possess special skills, knowledge or expertise that qualifies them to provide instruction in subjects for grades K-12. Each has provided documentation as certification, professional development, curriculum training, or similar. Pre-K experience and/or certification does not meet this requirement.

Each teacher at The Excellence Academy meets one of the following requirements in accordance with Florida Statutes Section 1002.421(1)(h):

We offer a strong Science, Mathematics, Technology, and Aeronautical program with a broad range curriculum for all achievement levels. Having faith as our foundation, The Academy instills in our students that all things are possible – that all can conquer any course! We create a culture of success in science, aviation, and engineering. Unique partnerships afford students research opportunities unlike those in any traditional academic environment. Experience a cooperative program that leads to dynamic aviation careers as astronaut, pilot, engineer, air traffic controller, and more. Student Activities
The Excellence Academy generates high quality educational experiences by which students create work, make inquiry through targeted research, communicate using collaborative tools, and participate in student activities. Many discover the convenience of video conferencing to present findings, and others enjoy the unique dissemination of information that virtual labs afford.
Strings and The Arts
Each student may have the opportunity to engage in our strings and the arts programs. Students begin our strings program in second grade. Student performances, held in traditional black box setting are held in partnership with the local performing arts center. Individual creative expression is strongly encouraged and supported.
